چکیده
Abstract The rotating detonation characteristics of high-temperature hydrogen-rich gas were studied. Hydrogen-rich was generated by the pre-combustion hydrogen, and a experiment air subsequently performed. auto-initiation observed in experiment, influence pre-detonation tube ignition on steady propagation wave analyzed. results show that have ability to spontaneously form waves. operation has significant mode velocity continuous after auto-initiation. rotational formed short instability process. before unstable state is 1345.4 m/s 1425.3 m/s, respectively, respectively.

Simulation of Detonation Propagation in Turbulent Gas-Solid Reactive Mixtures
The present study focuses on the simulation of highly reactive two-phase flows associated with detonations. A hybrid scheme, that combines a high-order shock-capturing method and a second/fourth-order accurate, low dissipation scheme is first validated by simulating blast wave discharges and shock-vortex interaction. The Large-Eddy Simulation model used in the present formulation is considered ...
متن کاملDetonation Studies of High- Frequency- Operation Pulse Detonation Engine with Air/Hydrogen
An experimental study on pulse detonation engine (PDE) is conducted using hydrogen/air mixtures. Several key issues for PDE development, including valve operation, injection, mixing, filling, cycle repetition, ignition timing, DDT distance and propagation of detonation/quasi-detonation, are investigated. The fuel and oxidizer are injected into PDE from opposite sidewall directions to be well mi...
متن کاملEffect of Temperature on Detonation Propagation in Composition B
Composition B is a melt-castable explosive consisting of RDX crystals in a TNT matrix. At elevated temperatures, the TNT can flow or even melt, which affects the particle distribution and therefore the detonation propagation. To study this phenomenon, rate stick experiments were conducted at ambient conditions, at temperatures below the TNT melt, and at temperatures above the TNT melt. We field...
متن کاملGas-phase detonation propagation in mixture composition gradients.
The propagation of detonations through several fuel-air mixtures with spatially varying fuel concentrations is examined numerically. The detonations propagate through two-dimensional channels, inside of which the gradient of mixture composition is oriented normal to the direction of propagation. The simulations are performed using a two-component, single-step reaction model calibrated so that o...
متن کاملSilicon Carbide-Based Hydrogen Gas Sensors for High-Temperature Applications
We investigated SiC-based hydrogen gas sensors with metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) structure for high temperature process monitoring and leak detection applications in fields such as the automotive, chemical and petroleum industries. In this work, a thin tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) layer was exploited with the purpose of sensitivity improvement, because tantalum oxide has good stability at high...
